Beautiful lakes immersed in the highlands of Adjara

When traveling to the highlands of Adjara, it is impossible not to visit and enjoy the beautiful lakes nestled in the mountains, surrounded by forests, which abound in the region and every time leave the visitor in awe.

• Green Lake - is located in Upper Adjara, Khulo Municipality, in the northern part of the Arsiani Range, near the Goderdzi Pass, at an altitude of 2058 meters above sea level. The water is quite clean and transparent, slightly mineralized. It is a very interesting fact that during the day the lake has a green color, and when the evening approaches, it changes its color according to the weather. In the areas surrounding Green Lake, it is possible to relax, organize picnics and hikes, pitch tents, camp and spend the night.
• Karagoli Lake - If you want to visit the highlands of Adjara and enjoy its amazing panoramic nature, then you must visit Karagoli Lake, which is located on the southern slope of Khulo municipality at an altitude of 2100-2200 meters above sea level. Lake Karagoli consists of two lakes, which unfold panoramically against the backdrop of Baki- Bakko and Sari-Chair pastures. There is often fog in this area, which adds mystery to the scenery and makes it even more impressive.

• Shuamta Lakes - an area consisting of 5 lakes creates a truly fabulous world, which is located in the village of Shuamta in Khulo municipality. It is located at 2150 meters above sea level. There is a beautiful environment around the lakes, greenery and old style houses of the village, the best time to visit is summer. If you are a hiker and a nature lover, then definitely visit Shuamta Lakes and enjoy every second you spend here. 
• Lake Lelti - there is a lake in the village of Naghvarevi, around which there are beautiful and amazing views. On the way to the lake there is an interesting tourist location - a wooden bridge of the Khabelashvili family, which was built 300 years ago. You can also continue your hike in the mill village, where several wooden mills are still functioning. You will also have the opportunity to organize a hike, take a boat ride in the lake and finally organize a wonderful picnic and enjoy nature.
